To SparK A FLAME and incite meaningful change
Founded and headquartered on the westside of the A, KWAV broadcasts at an assigned carrier of 97.7 mHz, under a license soon-to-be granted by the Federal Communications Commission. In 2021, Teddy Valencia established 97.7 Wavelength (better known as "The Length") and functions as the station's president, technical lead, core Host/DJ, and founder to this day!
The Length operates under three pillars of dissemination: education, community-building, and mass-action. As a child growing up in the OC, I dreamed my home to be colorful and tranquil, beautiful nostalgia. So small and expansive. As I've come of age, I noticed cracks and faults, the poisoning and corruption of the land I love. My hope for The Length is to remedy America's aching growing pains with the sounds of humanity; the sound of humanity will convince it's bard to save itself.
